Layout analysis functionality supports newspapers, magazines, books and tables, and a language dictionary consisting of 10 million characters is provided for improving recognition accuracy after general document recognition.
The recognition speed is approximately 10 seconds assuming densely packed characters in an A1-size newspaper spread. For A4 documents, recognition can be done in less than one second.
The recognition accuracy is equivalent to commercially available OCR software for general documents. However, there may be some differences in performance depending on the manuscript.
